I grew up listening to Bob McCown on CJCL 1430, FAN 1430/590. I imitated Tom Cheek/Jerry Howarth playing baseball in my backyard and Joe Bowen playing road hockey on my driveway. I’ve spent almost 20 years in radio. @FAN590 @TSN1050Radio @CFRAOttawa @TSN1200 @canadapostcorp https://twitter.com/canadapostcorp/status/1263095681104908288 …

Today is the 100th anniversary of the first radio broadcast in Canada. These are most of the stations I’ve worked at – each logo brings back amazing memories. What a great business. What a great life. #MyRadioStory #100YearsOfRadiopic.twitter.com/gpR2bAvPfJ

I miss being a late night weekend host on CFNS 101.125 on your FM Stereo dial broadcasting several decades ago from CFB Baden-Soellingen with a grand total 125,000 milliwatts! LOL – that last part was solely to make the 125 W signal seem larger. #MyRadioStory #100yearsofradio

Radio turns 100 in Canada today! My parents put on @chinradiocanada, while my #walkman radio tuned to @TarzanDan in #toronto. I dreamt of being on-air, attended @FanshaweCollege radio program, and eventually went on to become a content producer #MyRadioStorypic.twitter.com/yK3PtBRLrm

#MyRadioStory I grew up listening to @CJAD in Montreal, then CKGM and CFOX. Listened to WBZ, WCBS and many other faraway stations at night on my transistor radio, courtesy of the ”skip” – great fun!

Andy Frost gave me my 1st gig at Talk 640 as a call screener in 1999. After stops in Newmarket and New Liskeard I’ve been fortunate to be in the same market for the past 15 years being a smart ass. #MyRadioStory #radioincanada

As a kid, I was drawn to music& a transistor radio. I was fortunate to live my dream for 3 decades as a broadcaster. It all began at my hometown @AM_1380 in #Brantford. #MyRadioStory @canadapostcorp #newCanadastamp pic.twitter.com/ThEosTPbUq

My first job in broadcasting was a short summer stint with @Country105_FM in Calgary when I was 17. I called the ‘mini-Chuckwagon races’ at their booth at the Stampede and gave out free t-shirts. Loved radio back then. Love it even more now. #MyRadioStory https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/canada-post-celebrates-100-years-of-radio-in-canada-with-new-stamp-1.4946175 …
